Due to the site’s special location at the junction of two rivers, this tower is sub-divided vertically into four triangular blocks forming a diagonal cross providing wider views to the surroundings. Sky gardens are strategically positioned on the office floors to maximize views and to promote sunlight penetration. All service functions such as elevators, stairs and toilets are located within one zone of the diagonals. Another diagonal zone is deliberately kept open, forming a gateway to downtown while also providing a view corridor through the building from the CBD, thereby creating a dialogue with the downtown area. Views into the glazed sky gardens are maximized and encourage natural light and ventilation.
The double skin facade is thermally efficient and allows office floor tenants to have natural ventilation and individual environmental control. Flexibility for various office layouts is permitted through the efficient, wide lease spans, while optimizing river views and personalizing the workplace environment.
The top of the building integrates a LED screen which will present current weather information by means of a changing color palette, making the building instantly recognizable and a highly visible landmark in the district.
