The new headquarter tower development for GOODIX Technology represent a unique cluster of diverse office program within the building. The project includes public spaces with pedestrian connections as well as dedicated special multifunction areas throughout the tower.

The design approach first took into consideration and more specifically the pedestrian flow along through the site. The current status at the moment is an empty space and most of the people are using it to take passage shortcuts in order to commute to the nearby subway stop, pub’s routes or shopping centers. The ground floor plan took full respect of the pedestrian passages by arranging all shortcuts links around the required bus station on site from the government. The office lobby has been positioned on the second floor in order to achieve and create a quiet and intimate office welcoming space.
The tower design creates a flexible off-center service core that allows for uninterrupted floorplates office. The floors have been arranged in a sets of 3 floors each with an outdoor balcony and indoor atrium spaces on the south side. The main feature of the tower façade is an outdoor horizontal mullion that help to protect the interior space from long exposure of direct sunlight and reduced sun glare in the office spaces.
Shenzhen has always been a fascinate city – a place with youthful spirit that has allowed it to constantly reinvent itself, yet retain a unique sense of urbanity. The new Global Smart Chip Innovative Center encapsulates that essence. It is set to become a pioneering example that combines spaces of work with vibrant public realm in the heart of the city.
The Building façade has adopted a high standard performing technology introducing a 3 glass layers unit, separated internally by an air cavity. This air gap between the external glass layers and the internal one is contributing to lower down drastically the hot temperature hitting the external building layer. Motorized Blinders inside the gap will also help to reduce the direct solar gain, reflecting out again most of the heat penetrating the façade during the summer season. The simple linear design of the façade includes horizontal air vents for natural ventilation. They are adopted to wrap the building volume at different façade conditions in order to stay continuous.
